Located on a finger of land, this new house is designed to capture unobstructed views of the ocean on one side and Siletz Bay on the other. The 'H' shaped plan divides the public and private functions as well as creating wind-protected outdoor spaces. To meet federal requirements for high-risk coastal tsunami zones, the habitable portions of the structure are elevated on concrete columns to permit floodwaters to run underneath.
